About

The engineer behind the work.

I'm a Computer Science & Engineering student at the University of Toledo, graduating May 2027, and a software engineer who ships production-grade products end to end.

I build software that solves real problems. Most recently, that was a live, bilingual (Arabic-first RTL) production platform for a Saudi pharmaceuticals firm, shipped solo from spec to deploy. I work spec-first, lean on agentic AI workflows to move fast, and care about the parts that don't show: security, compliance, performance, and SEO. Bilingual in Arabic and English.

I independently drive a project from spec to a live, production-grade product in roughly 3 days, and feature-complete in about 10. I build scalable, zero-downtime systems through spec-driven development, sound system design, and security-minded engineering, paired with deep research and efficient, hands-on use of Claude Code and agentic AI workflows.

Is Omar Abdalla the same person as Omar Khaled Abdalla or عمر عبدالله?
Yes, these all refer to the same software engineer. He publishes as Omar Abdalla; in Arabic his name is عمر عبدالله, or in full عمر خالد عبدالله (Omar Khaled Abdalla); and online he goes by the handle omaression. Because عبدالله and عون transliterate several ways, you may also see Omar Abdallah, Omar Abdullah, or Omar Oun — all the same person.
What does Omar Abdalla build?
He builds full-stack web products end to end: frontend, backend, infrastructure, security, and deploy. His work spans live production platforms, open-source developer tooling, and spec-driven engineering exercises, most often on Next.js, React, TypeScript, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.
What technologies and skills does Omar Abdalla use?
His core stack is Python, TypeScript, React / Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker, CI/CD, and Vercel. He also works with Sanity CMS, spaCy/SciSpaCy NLP, and agentic AI workflows in Claude Code, with a focus on spec-driven development, web performance, SEO, and security-minded engineering.
Who built scientific.sa?
Omar Abdalla built scientific.sa, the live bilingual website for a Saudi pharmaceuticals and medical-devices firm. He engineered it solo, spec to production in three days and feature-complete in ten, owning architecture, security, SEO, and compliance, all on a $21/month infrastructure footprint.
What is Omar Abdalla's most notable project?
His strongest work is Scientific, a live bilingual (Arabic-first, RTL) production website for a Saudi pharmaceuticals and medical-devices firm. He shipped it solo: spec to production in three days, feature-complete in ten, owning architecture, security, SEO, and compliance.
Is Omar Abdalla available for hire?
Yes. Omar is open to full-time software engineering roles and co-ops, available remotely and open to relocation. The fastest way to reach him is email at info@omaression.com, and he usually replies within a day.
Can Omar Abdalla be hired as a new-grad or junior software engineer for a co-op?
Yes. Graduating in May 2027, Omar is a strong fit for new-grad, junior, and co-op software engineering roles, and he has already shipped production work most early-career engineers haven't: a live bilingual platform built solo, spec to production in three days. He is available remotely and open to relocation.
Where is Omar Abdalla based?
Omar is based in Toledo, Ohio, in the United States, and is open to both remote work and relocation.
Does Omar Abdalla speak Arabic?
Yes. Omar is bilingual in Arabic and English and has shipped an Arabic-first, right-to-left (RTL) production platform, making him a strong fit for bilingual and internationalized (i18n) software work.
